Technical Assistance

Our Tiered Technical Assistance program supports districts across the state to build upon capacity to increase the use of evidence-based inclusive early childhood practices . These supports are provided through a tiered framework which is individualized to meet the needs of each district. This tiered framework includes Universal Supports, Targeted Supports, and Intensive Supports. To learn more about each of these tiers, please select the corresponding circle in the diagram below.

Universal supports are widely available to all through our website, social media platforms, newsletter, learning communities, virtual & online learning opportunities, and our annual Early Childhood Inclusion Conference. You may also find our team presenting evidence-based practices at other local conferences and events around the state!

Targeted supports are offered to district partners through short term consultation services that support problem-solving conversations, unpack our universal resources and tools, facilitate connections with community partners, and provide priority participation in learning communities.

Intensive supports are provided to districts who have voluntarily requested this level of support and commit to partner “give/get” agreements. Priority is given to districts who have been provided eligibility with SC TEAMS through the Office of Special Education Services (OSES). This level of support includes guidance in establishing a Preschool District Leadership Team, facilitation in the strategic planning process, and continued support through professional development and consultation aligned with their strategic plan.
